Personally, I prefer to take candid photos, I think that most of the time they turn out better. Candid works better when you are taking photos of people. Staging photos usually come out awkward because the person is stuck in a given position, instead of being themselves. However, staging works better with objects, because they are in the exact spot you want them to be in. Also, I think it is fine to stage the background of the photo when you are taking a picture of a person, but then you can use candid techniques when actually shooting.
I think this shows the time of day when we have so much going on, but need a break to clear out heads. The break can be anything, from taking a lap in the hallway to just taking a minute to check your makeup. Teachers push us very hard, as they should, but sometimes we need a little breather.
